If we talk about the external design then the GP1 is smaller in size then the Samsung SP-P400B. The dimensions of the GP1 are 136 x 54 x 120mm which is 10mm smaller than the Samsung SP-P400B. Its weight is just 565g.

The Gp1 has a very attractive dual colour Glossy Look. Benq attempted to add the white colour to the projector, but after its manufacturing it is observed that it give a nicer look than the completely black SP-P400B. The finishing of the projector is easily got affected by the scratches but the company has also provided a slightly padded carrying case in order to protect the GP1 projector. It has a very big problem with its design that its lens is not given any protection of the cover. But still it protected from most of the harms as the lens is deeply recessed inside. The focus wheel is set over the snug in its own slot and provides a great grip for doing the adjustment. Its top is provided with the set of touch sensitive buttons which helps you to access the various functions of the projector by navigating its various menus. The touch sensitive buttons are somewhat excitable, but the provision of internal speaker will alert you about the clicking of the button. The buttons on the projector are also provided with a backlit. But on the other hand the remote control of the projector is not so good because the button doesn’t have any backlit and have the simple old style layout.
